Did you know that Ventura is rated as one of the Top 25 HAPPIEST places in the United States. It is the latest rating by National Geographic, but I can, personally, attest to this. Why? Well, here are a few reasons–great weather year-round (average temp of 72 to 78 degrees), no smog, no congestion, very little traffic, (which reduces stress levels), pristine coast with uncrowded beaches, hiking and biking trails, Main Street with its Mayberry feel, San Buenaventura Mission, the Ventura Harbor Village, located in the Harbor, where you can eat at several seaside restaurants, such as Brophy Bros., Margarita Villa, The Greek, Surf ‘N Yogurt, Milanos, Boatyard Cafe, Andria’s and 805 Bar and Grilled Cheese, also owned by The Copa Cubana.
Ventura residents are pretty easy-going, friendly, helpful and devoted to maintaining the “downhome” feel.
Affordable housing for families and seniors, and excellent schools from Kindergarten through High School, along with beautiful parks for recreation and relaxing. But, most amazing are the incredible sunsets! Sometimes they are so spectacular they literally take my breath away!
