12/16 and 17 – 40th Annual Parade of Lights – get reservations at any of the seaside restaurants NOW! Watch the boats as they cruise by, creative Christmas lighting, music, and lots of surprises!

Where to dine when you arrive?

My favorite place for the best view is the Rhumb Line on Anchors Way in the Ventura Harbor.  Thankfully, it is now under new ownership, much improved and things are really changing. Staff is great, food is delicious, and cocktail hour from 3 to 6 PM is so enjoyable, sitting on the patio, feeling the breeze and experiencing ocean life right in front of you!

In the Marina you will find several restaurants – 805 Bar and Grilled Cheese, casual and fun.

Andria’s Seafood -voted best seafood year after year – casual, outside

Boatyard Cafe, new last year, casual dining.

Brophy Bros Restaurant and Clam Bar – straight out of Santa Barbara, a local favorite and a good view from the patio.

The Greek Mediterranean Steak and Seafood – Food and entertainment, and a good view of the water in the enclosed patio area. Belly dancing, too!

Harbor Cove – Sit outside, dogs welcome, and enjoy breakfast and lunch right on the shoreline.

Le Petit Cafe and Bakery – Cozy indoor seating, and serene outdoor seating with excellent French pastries baked on the premises.

Milano’s Italian Restaurant – In the mood for a great Lobster Dinner, or the best Chicken Piccata? A great view of the Harbor and the boats!

Margarita Villa Mexican Restaurant – I love sitting upstairs overlooking the water, enjoying the best Margaritas in town and listening to the great rock bands on the Weekend!

The Copa Cubana – the newest entry in the Marina Village, offering Cuban-American Fusion Cuisine, a full bar and live entertainment.

Looks like something for every taste bud, plus don’t forget dessert at

The Coastal Cone!  Enjoy!

See you soon . . .
